Home Sweet Heritage Home

So many people want to make Heritage home that Hillwood is changing some of it's commercial land into a residential development!  Elm Fork is being developed with 104 single family home sites.  Builders David Weekly and Highland Homes will be meeting the growing demand for smaller homes with high end finish-outs.  Prices will begin in the mid-$200,000.  Located conveniently at the corner of Heritage Trace and Beach Street, some lucky homeowners will be minutes from Alliance Town Center and in the middle of one of the most sought after developments in North Fort Worth.  If you are looking for a larger home, Standard Pacific Homes and Toll Brothers are building beautiful homes in the The Bluffs.  Whether you are looking for a new or existing home, call Blue Leaf Realty - we'll help you find your way home!

It's a Bird! . . . It's a Plane! . . .

It's the USAF Thunderbirds!  This weekend, Oct 22 and 23,  is the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show at Alliance Airport.  If you live in the Alliance Corridor you are quite accustomed to the practice flights and the thrill of not just seeing them, but of hearing and feeling their power as they fly overhead.  The event is sponsored by Bell Hellicopter and admission is free.  Parking is $20 per vehicle so pack up your car and head on over, becuase this Saturday and Sunday the Alliance Corridor is the place to be!  (Nissan will also be at the Airport this weekend letting folks test drive the new LEAF - Blue Leaf will be there on Friday so check back to hear our review - and yes, we are hoping for a blue one! =D )

A Great Sign!

I can almost smell the fajitas!  Okay, maybe not quite, but Mi Cocina has put up the sign announcing their arrival in Alliance Town Center in "early 2012"!  Even though I already knew they were coming, there is something about seeing the sign that makes it more real.  If you have already experienced Mi Cocina, then enough said.  If you have never had the pleasure of enjoying a meal there, get ready for a treat!  If you are in the ATC area, look next door to Olive Garden and start getting ready for some great Mexican food in "early 2012"!  I know those of us from Blue Leaf Realty will be there!

...with a Cherry on Top!

According to my husband, everything is better with ice cream and the Alliance Corridor is no exception!  This summer Blue Bell Ice Cream opened a distribution center just west of  I-35W on Harmon Road.  While it is not open for free tastes, it did make the news!  I, for one, feel better just knowing all that yummy ice cream is really just around the corner from Blue Leaf Realty's office!  Do you have a favorite Blue Bell flavor?  Mine is Peaches and Cream or Moolenium Crunch or Blackberry Cobbler or ...  Good news is, they are always up to something new!

Just Wait A Minute...

The saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a minute."  Texas weather can change quickly - like 100+ degree temperatures on Wednesday and a high in the 80's on Friday of the same week.  While many people moving here from other parts of the country find this challenging, it is this element of surprise that allows North Texans to have a warm day in November or a pleasantly cool day in June.  The truth is we have plenty of weather consistency - it is HOT here in the summer - but the unexpected weather change brings us a little variety - kind of like a breath of fresh air! :)

Texas Health Comes to North Fort Worth

The Texas Health Hospital in Alliance is making great progress.  While it doesn't quite look like this picture yet, it is getting closer everyday!  It is located on the southeast corner of I-35W and Golden Triangle (just west of Blue Leaf Realty!) and is scheduled to open next year.  It will have a 24-hour ER, surgical and outpatient services, and physician offices.  Just one more way the Alliance Corridor stands out!

Run in the Dark

If you live or work in the Alliance area, you have no doubt heard of the Community Storehouse.  Their missions states that they are "dedicated to the well-being and education of the children in our community" and that is evident in everything they do.  They provide clothes, food, and other necessities to children and have a tremendously positive impact on the North Fort Worth area. One of their major fundraisers is their annual Run in the Dark and this year it is being held at Alliance Town Center on Saturday, September 17 with the Fun Run starting at 7p.m..  Whether you want to run, walk, or volunteer, this is an event and cause that you will want to get out and support!

Fire Up the Grill!

This weekend many people will be enjoying burgers on the grill in their backyards, but in case you'd rather let someone else do the cooking, north Fort Worth has you covered! :)  Alliance Town Center offers great burger fare at Kincaid'sBJ's Brewhouse and Cheddar's.  You might also head to I-35 and Western Center and enjoy a hamburger at Fred's, a Ft. Worth tradition, at its new location.  For future reference, Five Guys Burgers and Fries is scheduled to come in to the Sam Moon portion of Alliance Town Center - we can't wait!  And if you are planning to do your own cooking on Labor Day... there is always next weekend to enjoy the great shopping and casual dinnig in the Alliance Corridor!

What is "The Alliance Corridor"?

Centered by the Alliance Airport, the Alliance Corridor is north of downtown Fort Worth and straddles I-35W.  Alliance, Texas, a 17,000 acre master-planned development designed by Hillwood and has become a defining aspect of north Fort Worth.  With an amazing vision, Hillwood has brought businesses and first class amenities to north Fort Worth including an airport, exceptional subdivisions, and more recently retail, entertainment, and medical resources.  The Alliance Corridor is an exciting place.  Right now, many roads such as Golden Triangle Blvd are under construction, but once they are completed, North Fort Worth will offer the best of everything to area residents and businesses!
